If you have ever used a mobile Windows-based device and browsed the Internet on it, you are well aware that the Pocket Internet Explorer is quite different from its desktop counterpart. Although being minor and non-essential for the most part, these differences greatly affect the usability of the built-in browser - especially for those of us who actively register in a variety of web services or log into their web-based corporate software using their handheld... |

"The Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia is Samsung's latest Windows Mobile smartphone, featuring a touchscreen. For a Samsung Windows Mobile smartphone, the Omnia is quite unique because so far, Samsung was pretty focused on keyboard-centric Windows Mobile smartphones like the BlackJack/SGH-i600 or SGH-i780 which featured full QWERTY thumb-keyboards; while the i900 Omnia follows the trend to touchscreen centric smartphones." Read full review here. I think we need to be more balanced when it comes to criticizing this device especially that this is Samsung’s first touch Pocket PC device, I believe this is a tough contender to compete with HTC and a killer device, especially that HTC needs competition and their Touch series got their own share of deficiencies and faults which unacceptable for someone in the is field that long. |

I checked my Etisalat pre-paid (Wasel) SIM card and I had 60 Dirhams credit remaining, I normally like to check and monitor before I go online with my TyTN II, so I wanted to do some online banking and unfortunately Pocket IE is unable to view some pages with dropdown menus, it is beyond me how limited it Pocket IE which we are in mid 2008! I only browsed through three to four pages, and then I went to download Opera mobile browser and just started my download my Internet connection was disconnected and I checked my limit and it was only 2 Dirhams. Gone in 60 Dirhams. |

"Translated from Greek, the name of Samsung’s new model means “everything” and its main purpose is to fully satisfy the needs of the modern cell phone user. This is a phone with a unique combination of characteristics such as 5-megapixel camera, large touch display and GPS, taking advantage of the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform. In addition, this is the first device with a built-in support of not only DivX, but XviD video. The logical question „Can it cook?” comes to mind…" Checkout this recent review for the latest Samsung Omina with the irresistible 3.2” screen. Click here. |

Sorry chaps been a bit slow that dam work getting in the way. Fist impressions coooooooooooooooooooooooool, what a nice format, size weight seems ideal providing you don’t have the digits of a rhino. Ok coming from the Tytn II and no comparisons to I Phone as that’s a waste of time IMO as you either love’em or not.
I had forgotten how brickish the TyTN II really was bit like the old JasJar you got use to it. Personally I had found I was using the keyboard less and less and really in the end as a stand for rotating the screen when on the desk.
The Diamond it really is, giving its size and what’s packed in it.... |

Pocket Informant is The Next Generation in Personal Daily Management, but we don't just say that; we mean it. Pocket Informant 8 doesn't just simply let you work with your daily events through lists and grids, but with the new Events and Journal views you can look at your life's past and future in an easy cohesive environment. Even create contact links within your appointment or tasks' subject and notes let you quickly access a named contact without having to resort to links or a search. Most suprisingly, this power doesn't come at the cost of a complicated, cluttered interface. |

Samsung calls their new stunner “Omnia” which means in Arabic “Wish” and that’s defiantly very fitting to this device because it is always my wish to have a Pocket PC with a 3.2” WQVGA screen! Thanks Samsung for making my Omnia come true! Additionally this device is fully loaded, it comes with great internal memory, up to 16 GB and it is also very slim, only 12.5 mm thin, WM 6.1, GPS and HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) more specs on the following page… |
