The mysterious phone made its brief appearance during a video Samsung released to commemorate its press conference at CES 2012.
Marketing Magazine’s Brand Barometer featured the Fact Checkers Unit episode featuring rapper DMC from Run DMC as the “one to watch”. And in this final clip, the FCU finds out who is Heavy Mustache, plus face their toughest adversary yet… themselves.

Most intriguing, however, is the S-pen. Tucked into the body, users simply pull out the pen from the bottom of the phone and begin writing or doodling.
The device is pressure sensitive, so light strokes on the touchscreen create thinner lines, while pressing down more firmly creates thicker swipes.

It’s become apparent, if sources speaking anonymously are to be believed and sense is to follow, that the Samsung Galaxy Note will be coming to Verizon after all, this time re-named as the Galaxy Journal.

Caricature artist Kathy Bailey perches on a stool, a tiny wand pressed against the 5.3-inch face of the Samsung Galaxy Note she’s grasping in her other hand. “You have a lot of hair,” she tells me, furiously inscribing brown circles.

When Verizon and Motorola announced the DROID RAZR MAXX earlier in the week, they refused to get specific when it came to a release date and instead went with a “coming weeks” time frame. Maybe they should have read their own Motorola landing page for the phone as it lists January 26 as being the day. The price on contract will be $299.

Difficult times for a company that had grown used to a gleaming record of growth. As predicted after that serious stutter in November sales, HTC’s unaudited revenue for Q4 2011 shows a 2.49 percent fall on the same quarter in 2010. Unaudited operating income was just shy of 13 billion Taiwanese dollars (about $430 million), which represents a 22 percent decline on the year before.
What do those numbers add up to? Mobile updates. We have a bunch coming over the next few weeks.

Samsung Galaxy Note has acquired an eco-friendly certification. Samsung Electronics said on Friday that Galaxy Note received the carbon footprint labeling certified by the KEITI (Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute) on Dec 27 last year.
The carbon labeling scheme is a system to check greenhouse gas emissions of a product in the whole process from development and production through distribution, usage to disposal in a bid to promote a low-carbon environment.
Samsung has dramatically increased resource and energy efficiency in the development process of Galaxy Note without using anti-environmental chemical materials like Halogen flame retardant, beryllium, PVC.

Samsung Galaxy Note, a versatile gadget which falls somewhere between a tablet and a smartphone, is strengthening its distinctive selling points as an useful digital tool to make you pretty much savvy and effective in your office works with offering a series of viable work-supportive applications; and this time the company has rolled out Franklin Planner Activity Note — a digital-based time management tool.
Samsung announced it will launch Franklin Planner Activity Note starting today via Samsung Apps — the company’s proprietary application store. The app, jointly developed by Samsung and Webplan and best optimized for Galaxy Note, has successfully turned the world-famous time management system into a digital-based one, appealing enough to catch the digital nomad’s eyes who are increasingly dependent on their digital gadgets in their pursuit of time-savvy lifestyle.
The Franklin Planner Activity Note, among other things, delivers a kind of “analogue” experience to users with its “S Pen” enabling to doodle away your ideas and time schedule in any time as if you would jot down your personal stuff on the paper. The S Pen has a small activation button near the tip; hold this and double-tap on the screen and an app, S Memo, opens up onto which you can draw as well as add text via the on-screen keyboard.
The content stored on the Galaxy Note will be freely sent via Twitter, SMS or e-mail and interconnectivity with Google Calendar will be able to enhance your time management skills. As we draw near the end of the year — when a growing need of planners like Franklin Planner, is notable, the company expects this digital based time management system will be increasingly resonating with customers.
